Veysel Kocaman

Veysel Kocaman, PhD, is CTO and Head of Data Science at John Snow Labs, where he leads development of Spark NLP for Healthcare, the medical language model stack Martlet AI runs on. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Leiden University, where he has also lectured on distributed data processing and machine learning, and has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed papers on healthcare NLP. He is a Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning. As an advisor to Martlet AI, he brings the technical depth behind the underlying medical language models and their real-world clinical accuracy.
